MAHAR (Ferguson), Annie Odella Miller

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, Odella “Babe” Mahar in her 94th year born in Charlottetown on August 10, 1929. She passed peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, on Saturday, May 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Harold Vincent Mahar and the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes Ferguson. Devoted and loving mother of Charlene Nickels (the late George), Farley (Susan), Garth (the late Louise) and Heather Cairns (Joey). Family was everything to her and she will be sadly missed and her memory cherished by her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Odella is lovely remembered by her brother-in-law, Raymond Mahar (Dora) and sister-inlaw, Marie Mahar and will be greatly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She is the last in line of her 13 siblings and was predeceased by her sisters, Joan, Hilda, Olive, Olga, Henrietta, Thelma, Florence; and brothers, Elmer, Gerald, Roger, Gordon and Hessel. The family wish to extend a special thank you to the staff at Whisperwood Villa for their years of care and to the caring emergency Doctors and staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital who kept her comfortable in her final hours. Resting at the Maclean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
