GALLANT, Joe “Coke”

The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Friday, May 26, 2023, of Joe “Coke” Gallant, of Summerside, aged 93 years. He was a Veteran of World War II. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lollie (Costain) Gallant. Survived by his children, Donna Doyle, Ford (Denise) Gallant, Peter (Christine) Gallant and Patti (Ron) Gallant; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Acorn and Lynnie (Grant) Grady; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Doris (Watson) Gallant; daughter, Barbara Gallant; brother-in-law, Bill Acorn; 3 brothers; and by 7 sisters. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday 9-10:15 a.m. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home Thursday at 9 a.m. Memorial donations to the International Children’s Memorial Place would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
