SHEA, Bernard Michael

The death occurred peacefully, at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, on Sunday, May 28, 2023, with his loving family by his side of Bernard Michael Shea, formerly of Sea Cow Pond, age 67 years. Born at Alberton, on August 20, 1955, he was a son of the late John Albert and Ella Margaret (Macmillan) Shea. Cherished brother to Anne (late Jack) Tassell, of Little Pond, Albert (Carmen) Shea, of Sea Cow Pond, Angela (late Gary) Gallant, of Charlottetown, Patsy (late Donald) Knox, of Halifax, Justin (Shirley) Shea, of Palmer Road, Ethel (John) Campbell, of Fortune, Vincent (Janet) Shea, of Sea Cow Pond, Glenn (Sheila) Shea, of Grand River, Gail (Henry) Mckie, of Howe Bay, and Norma (Danny) Pitre, of Calgary. He is also survived by a sisters-in-law, Myra Shea, of Sea Cow Pond and Mary Shea of Charlottetown. Bernard will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and acquaintances. He was predeceased by brothers, Joe, James, and Terry. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, for visiting hours Tuesday, from 3-6 p.m., then forwarded to the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, for visiting hours Wednesday evening, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral on Thursday, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for Funeral Mass at 3 p.m. Rev. Greg Conway celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Tignish Normalization Group, Tignish, or the Macintyre House, Souris, would be gratefully appreciated.
