The P.E.I. Islanders are off to a 3-1 start in the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League (NBSBL).

After sweeping a doubleheader from the Chatham Ironmen in Charlottetown on May 20, the Islanders split a pair of games in Saint John, N.B., against the host Alpines on May 27.

The Alpines rallied for nine runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase an eight-run deficit and edge the Islanders 11-10 in the opening game. History would not repeat itself in Game 2 as the Islanders went on to post an 8-2 victory.

The Islanders return to action at Memorial Field in Charlottetown on June 3 when the Fredericton Royals (1-1) visit for a pair of games beginning at 2 p.m.
