Thousands turn out for advance poll

More than 13,000 people cast their ballot for the upcoming provincial election at advance polling stations March 25, said Elections P.E.I.

So far, there are 105,108 P.E.I. residents registered to vote in the 2023 provincial election, so Saturday’s turnout represented 12.6 per cent of the electorate.

Advance polling stations were open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. There are two more opportunities to cast a ballot before election day. Advance polls will be open again on Monday, March 27, and Friday, March 31, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Election day is Monday, April 3 and polling stations will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Voters unsure of their voting location should check their Information Card in the mail, or visit the Elections P.E.I. website at www.electionspei.ca .
