Aces look to get back on track at home

Tignish honouring UPEI Panther TJ Shea in pre-game ceremony

The Tignish Aces host firstplace Wellington Flyers in a West Prince Senior Hockey League game at the Tignish Credit Union Arena on Jan. 29 at 8 p.m.

With the parity-filled league averaging over 700 fans per game, another big crowd is expected. The last three WPSHL games have been decided by one goal, and this could be another tight one as the Aces look to snap a two-game slide after opening the season with a win over Wellington.

The Flyers are on a twogame winning streak after defeating the Aces and Kensington Granites, who defeated Tignish in overtime recently.

For the Aces, Slade Handrahan returns, and former O’Leary Maroon Scott Bernard will make his debut. Darcy LaPierre returns to the

Flyers’ lineup.

The Aces and Tignish community are pleased to have UPEI Panther forward TJ Shea of Tignish drop the puck for a ceremonial opening faceoff. Shea recently won a gold medal with Canada at the FISU Winter World University Games in Lake Placid, N.Y.
