Watermark Theatre is kicking off the 2023 spring and summer programming for the company's 15th year starting March 31.

The season will start with the second annual Watermark Children's Theatre Festival in the spring, followed by the comedic drama Steel Magnolias and the thriller Gaslight throughout the summer.

The theatre is also continuing to present The Watermark Music Series on Sundays in July and August.

Birds of a Feather by Robert Watson, produced by Neptune Theatre of Halifax, takes place from March 31 to April 2.

What If by Katey Hoffman, produced by Geordie Theatre of Montreal, is taking place from April 14-16.

Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling runs from June 27 to Aug. 26 and is directed by Samantha Wilson.

A group of Louisiana women bond and gossip at a local beauty shop while also following the marriage and motherhood of one of the customer's daughters.

Steel Magnolias is an iconic play that continues to speak to audiences across the world about hope, loss, and friendship.

Gaslight by Johnna Wright and Patty Jamieson is based on the play Angel Street and Patrick Hamilton and runs from July 7 to Aug. 25.

The show is directed by Martha Irving, who also directed last summer’s hit production of Educating Rita.

Bella Manningham hears strange sounds, and the gas lights dim for no apparent reason.

Bella thinks she’s losing her mind. The truth might be far worse.

The Watermark Music Series, curated by Hannah Melanson, is also returning.

Island musical artists will interpret classic composers in a way that has never been heard before on July 23 and Aug. 6 and 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket Passes are on sale now. Single tickets will be on sale closer to production dates.

Fall and winter programming will be announced in the coming months.
