Fundraiser

• A roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served on Dec. 4 at noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Palmer Road, Thompson Road. The cost of the dinner is $14 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.

Community

• The 27th annual Jingle Bell Walk is Dec. 2, 6:30 p.m., at the West Royalty Community Centre, 1 Kirkdale Dr., with a tree lighting, a self-guided walk, activities for the whole family inside the West Royalty Community Centre, 6:30-8 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided. • Information session for seniors interested in volunteering for the 2023 Canada Games, 55+ Games, Hospice P.E.I., the P.E.I. Humane Society and other groups is Dec 6, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Rotary Auditorium, Charlottetown Library, Queen Street, Charlottetown. This informal session, presented by the City of Charlottetown, will explain the work being done, present ideas and share volunteer experiences. There will be light refreshments. All are welcome. • People are invited to get to know their neighbours each Monday and Friday, 10-11 a.m., at the Milton Community Hall. Coffee, tea and snacks are available by donation of coin or treats.

• P.E.I. Sociable Singles, a nonprofit, non-denominational, social group, provides separated, divorced, widowed and unmarried people 50 and over with an opportunity to get out of the house and participate in healthy group and social activities such as dances, potlucks, movies, walks, hikes, card games, dining out, barbecues and game nights. Sociable Singles is not a dating club. Meet compatible people who are unattached and in similar circumstances. • PEIACL is partnering with the new Charlottetown Library Learning Centre to offer once-a-month sessions for individuals, families, caregivers and support staff this fall. • The Salmon Association of P.E.I. (SAPEI) general membership meeting is Dec. 6, 7 p.m., at the Charlottetown Rural High School auditorium, 100 Raider's Rd., Charlottetown.

• Helping Hands Al Anon Family Group anniversary meeting is Dec. 8, 7 p.m., at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown.

Classes

• Yoga classes are Tuesdays, at the Milton Community Hall with mat classes at 8:30 a.m. and yoga in the chair at 10 a.m. The cost is $6 for Miltonvale Park residents and $7 for others. The instructor is Leone Curtis.

• Fitness and yoga classes are at the Tracadie Community Centre, 48 Station Rd., Tracadie Cross. Yoga is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., and fitness classes are on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

Games

• The Charlottetown Duplicate Bridge Club is offering Bridge

In a Day on Dec. 3, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Benevolent Irish Society on North River Road. The cost of $25 includes lunch at noon (pizza) and a bridge pamphlet. To register, contact Ken Kerr (anav31b@yahoo.ca) or Ray Malone (ray.teaches.bridge@gmail.com).

• Weekly card games are Fridays at Dunstaffnage School Centre, 7:30 p.m.

• Card will be held at the Uigg Community Centre on Mondays, 7 p.m.

• Rustico Bay Seniors cards (auction) games is Mondays at 7 p.m. There will be cash prizes and a 5050. The games are played at 2104 Church Rd., Rustico.

• Bridge is at the Seniors Active Living Centre in the Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1 p.m.

• Euchre is played at the Seniors Active Living Centre in the Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, on Tuesdays, 1 p.m.

• Cards are at the Cotton Centre in Stratford on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m.

• Partners Crib is every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Charlottetown Legion. New teams are welcome.

• The Cornwall and Area 50+ Club’s activities include Cribbage and Auction on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m., Contract Bridge on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Skip Bo on Thursdays at 1 p.m. Admission for all events is $2.
