Shutout win, loss for P.E.I. teams

P.E.I.’S two entries in the Maritime Major Under18 Female Hockey League picked up a win and a loss on Nov. 26.

The Eastern Stars, led by the five-point performances from Kali Macdonald and Kailey Lutley, blanked the Fundy Kraken 15-0 in Montague.

The Stars, who built period leads of 5-0 and 7-0, improved to 3-70-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses).

Kennah Brant recorded the shutout.

In Bedford, N.S., the Halifax Western Capitals shut out the Tyne Valleybased Western Wind 4-0. After a scoreless first period, the Capitals led 2-0 after the second.
