Caps lose two in a row
SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – The Summerside D. Alex Macdonald Ford Western Capitals dropped back-to-back games in the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) over the weekend.
The Campbellton Tigers scored two goals in the final 2:20 of regulation time to break a 4-4 tie and defeat the Caps 6-4 on Nov. 25. On Nov. 26, the Fredericton Red Wings scored a pair of unanswered third-period goals to pull out a 5-3 win in Summerside.
The results leave the Caps with a record of 136-0-0 (won-lost-overtime losses-shootout losses).
Summerside is back in action on Dec. 1 at home against the Miramichi Timberwolves (7-8-4-1) at 7 p.m.
