Julia Henry and Ella Hickey started the day with a win against Nunavut. Ethan Boyd and Luke Hyde also got their tournament started on the right foot, with a win over Nunavut on the main court. Both teams were back in the afternoon, and conditions were tougher as the wind had picked up throughout the day. The women’s team had a tough matchup with Newfoundland and Labrador and lost two hard-fought sets to drop the game 2-0. The men’s team was back on the main court vs Yukon, and despite battling the wind for most of the match, Boyd and Hyde won in straight sets.
