Sunday Night Shenanigans welcomes Kelley Mooney

YORK, P.E.I. – Kelley Mooney will take to the York Community Centre stage for the Sunday Night Shenanigans show on July 10.

Mooney, a singer/songwriter from Iona, P.E.I., is best known for her Easter version of Hallelujah. Her rendition of the Leonard Cohen hit song racked up over 14 million views on Youtube. Her first album, Tomorrow, received a 2012 country recording of the year award from Music P.E.I., and she was nominated for an ECMA in 2018. Mooney is also the lead singer for the Island’s soul band, Lady Soul.

Also on the bill is Lester Macpherson, who will provide backup music for Maritime champion fiddler and step dancer 16-year-old Amelia Parker of Pictou, N.S. Parker is also a former dance student of Judy Maclean, who is the host for the show. Parker will represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling competition in August in Winnipeg.
