Woman charged with impaired driving

A St. Peters woman is facing an impaired driving charge after a single-vehicle crash in Charlottetown early in the morning of June 29.
Police responded to the crash on the arterial highway around 3 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured but showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested, police said in a news release.
The 27-year-old woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after providing a breath sample that was twice the legal limit. She was also issued a 90-day driving suspension and the vehicle has been impounded for 30 days.
