Lively night planned for Ceilidh in the City on July 6

Ceilidh in the City welcomes popular Celtic group Tip Er Back as the special musical guest on July 6 at the Jack Blanchard Centre in Charlottetown.

Made up of Clive Currie, vocals and fiddle, Wade Murray, bass guitar, and Allan Betts, guitar and vocals, the group plays a mixture of Maritime favourites, traditional, country and some original music.

Betts, Currie and Murray were all members of Kickin’ Country, a group that performed for many years all over Prince Edward Island.

Betts is not only a singer and musician but also a wellrespected songwriter, with his songs recorded by some of the biggest names in the P.E.I. music scene.

Tip Er Back will be joining the Ceilidh in the City crew, featuring Kendall Docherty, Peter Burke, Brian Knox, Brian Blacquiere and Brian Langille.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for general admission, with the show getting underway at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a full-service canteen offering hot and cold items, as well as a bar service.

A 50-50 draw will also take place in support of the Ceilidh Gives Back Fund, which supports local charities and families in need.

The Jack Blanchard Centre, located at 7 Pond St., is fully accessible.

For additional information or reservations, contact Docherty at peimusicman@ gmail.com or by direct message through the group’s Facebook page at Facebook. com/ceilidhinthecity.
