A JOY IN THE CLASSROOM
I was saddened to read about the passing of Margaret Doyle on Sept. 17.
I had the pleasure of having Margaret enrol in several of my political science courses at UPEI. Needless to say, she was a real joy to have in the classroom. She was intensely curious and eager to learn new ways of thinking.
More important, she regularly brought to the class insightful comments, a compassionate disposition and valuable life experiences.
She will undoubtedly be missed by many.
But I take some solace from the thought that a stack of books will be awaiting Margaret once she enters the gates of Heaven.
