Summerside man facing charges

SUMMERSIDE — A 38-yearold man is facing several additional charges, including resisting arrest after police say he breached release conditions and stole from a liquor store in Summerside.

In a July 21 release, Summerside Police Services said they received information on July 18 that the Summerside man left his residence on three separate occasions and committed theft at a liquor store. Police said the man was subject to electronic monitoring and bound by a court-mandated release order to remain in his residence.

When the man left his residence again on July 20, police arrested him.

Police said the man resisted arrest and is now facing additional charges of resisting arrest, breaching his release order and theft. The man remains in police custody.
