June (MacKenzie) Costello June 13th, 1934- March 21st, 2019

Born in Belle River, the youngest daughter of Kenneth & Charlotte MacKenzie. Moved to Charlottetown at an early age attending West Kent School. She worked for Island Telephone until she married her life partner Bill (Lou) Costello on Oct 16 1952. She would later return to work at the business office of The Sacred Heart Home, retiring in 1994.

She was full of life with a twinkle in her eye, she loved nothing better than when Friday night would roll around and they would dance the night away with family and friends. Her love of music continued through out her life and some of her happiest memories were sitting around a campfire listening to Bobby play the guitar and sing her favourite songs.

Blessed with six children, she became a mother at a young age setting aside her own dreams and aspirations for us. She knew that the path of Motherhood would be long and hard at times, but it was the most important role she would ever play. And she played it so well, guiding us through the good and bad times with strength, courage, kindness and unconditional love.

She taught us to be strong and loyal, to be courageous and true. To believe that every human being deserves our respect and kindness (with no buts). To understand that we do not walk life's journey on our own, and to have faith in the Heavens above.

Mom reached the end of her journey knowing, that she had accomplished what she had set out to do, as a young mother. Her children could walk alone and their children after them.

Mom you are more than a memory, you are a living presence. Love Forever and Always

Kim, Dawn, Wendy, Scott, Boyce, Kent and Families.
