Outreach centre officially opens

Following is information about the Community Outreach Centre now operating out of the former Charlottetown Curling Club:

• It operates seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Service providers include Blooming House, Charlottetown Police Services, Canadian Mental Health Association, John Howard Society, Upper Room, provincial Department of Social Development and Housing, provincial mental health and addiction services, Native Council of P.E.I., Mi’kmaq Confederacy of P.E.I., Peers Alliance and P.E.I. Council of People with Disabilities. • Notes: The outreach centre is not a safe injection site but does provide a needle exchange program. The centre is not wheelchair accessible right now but officials with the P.E.I. Council of People with Disabilities is available to make connections with people through this avenue.
