WOLFE, Bernadene Marie

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, spiritual leader and friend, Bernadene Marie Wolfe, 73, passed away peacefully in the arms of our Lord on May 31, 2023, following a battle with cancer at the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. Bernadene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Peter Wolfe. She will also be dearly missed by her children, son, Michael Cook, daughter in law, Rae-shelley Cook, grandsons, Michael, Nicholas and Joshua Cook; son, Shannon Cook, daughter in law, Ashley Cook, grandsons, Johnny and Logan Cook. Bernadene will also be remembered by uncle, Bernie Maclean and family, uncle Gordon Maclean and family; niece, Shalen; and nephews, Blaine and Terry Maclellan; special cousin, Daphne (Thanks for the TLC); her extended Cook family, John Cook, Leona Rafuse, Thelma Burton and family, Jocelyn Dickson and family, Michael Cook and family, Larry Cook and family; sisters in law, Beverly (Tony) Hugli, Barbara (Barry) Mac Donald; brothers in law, Gregory (Michelle) Wolfe, Gerard (Karen) Wolfe; eight nieces and nephews; special aunt, Veronica Manning; special cousin, Lane Bowden. Bernadene was predeceased by her parents, father, John A Maclellan, mother, Florence Maclellan; and her brother, Shannon Maclellan and his wife Wanda Maclellan; also by her loving mother in law, Mary Jane Wolfe. Bernadene was born in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, later moved to Dartmouth to pursue a career in nursing, graduating in 1990 as an R.N. Bernadene was a devout Christian, her spiritual guidance was an honour and will be wonderfully remembered. Family will receive relatives and friends at Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, 889-2357, for a prayer service on June 3rd at 1p.m. Bernadene will be celebrated and laid to rest in Pleasant Bay Cemetery in Cape Breton, N.S. on June 8th at 2p.m. Donations may be made in Bernadene Wolfe’s name to the Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the VON and staff at the Twin Oaks Memorial for their care and compassion.
