Privateers even series with Colts

Carson Gallant and Daniel Kline scored as the Liverpool Privateers edged the Capstone Colts 2-1 in Nova Scotia Junior B Hockey League playoff action on Sunday.

Adian Durnford made 34 saves in the win while Alec Macvicar stopped 42 shots for the Colts. The best-of-seven Fred Fox Division final is tied 2-2.

Ryan Welsh scored for the Colts. Game 5 will be played on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.) at the Shearwater Arena.

On Saturday night, Bradley Armstrong scored twice while Will Fitzsimmons, Will Mierau, Luke Baldwin, Connor Doherty, Jack Hayne, Zachary Lorette had singles and goalie Cody Maceachern stopped 28 shots as the Antigonish Bulldogs blanked the Eskasoni Eagles 8-0.

The Bulldogs looked to wrap up the series in Sunday night’s Game 4.
