Man stabbed in Halifax

Police are investigating a stabbing in Halifax on Saturday.

A Halifax Regional Police news release said officers responded to a report of an injured person in the 6000 block of North Street at about 5 p.m.

Officers found a man suffering from what are believed to be non-life-threatening stab wounds, police said.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is in its early stages, police said. Anyone with information about the incident or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
