GOSS (Watson), Catherine Lillian "Kay"

Age 93, of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 24, 2023 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro. Born June 6, 1929 in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John Cameron and Eda Alena (Brushett) Watson. Kay was a long-time employee at Canadian Tire on Quinpool Road and retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. After her husband Noel’s death in 1993, she volunteered with the Diana Blakeney Guild at the QEII/VG Cancer Clinic for many years. Surviving are her children, Linda (Art) Ervin, Pictou; Wayne (Sharon) Goss, Dartmouth; granddaughters, Carolyn Desjardins (Shaun Sterling), River Hebert; Laurie Ervin and Kim (Trevor) Rondelet, both in Pictou; Taylor and Nicole Goss, both in Dartmouth; siblings, Ken (Cathy) Watson, Cambridge, Ont.; Elizabeth (Brian) Mackie, Powell River, B.C.; greatgrandchildren, Kyle, Ashleigh, Madelyn, Marlie and Sam; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Noel Goss; son, David at birth; grandson-in-law, Craig Desjardins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cruikshank Halifax Funeral Home. A family graveside service will held in Camp Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
