Glace Bay’s Mitchell Jenkins has re-iginited his passion for judo, resulting in a spot on the N.S. Canada Games team.

A pep rally to celebrate Nova Scotia's Canada Winter Games' participants will be held on Saturday in Halifax.

Nova Scotia athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff will attend the festivities that begin at 1 p.m. with a friends and family reception at the Nova Centre.

They will leave the Nova Centre in a parade via Argyle St. for the 2 p.m. pep rally at Grand Parade Square.

The pep rally will feature African drumming performances, an Indigenous Ceremony, an interview with Team Nova Scotia alumna and Canada Games Council award winner Ava Carew of Dartmouth. The Canada Winter Games are being held in Prince Edward Island from Feb. 18-March 5.
