Making Canada Better

July 1 marks the signing of the Constitution Act in 1867, where three colonial territories joined to form Canada.

Jump ahead 155 years and we live in a country proud of its freedoms and successes but aware it is a work in progress, with problems to solve and relationships to repair.

Reconciling with Indigenous people, eliminating racism and intolerance, ensuring everyone has full access to affordable housing, health care, and protection from soaring costs for food and other essentials are among the challenges.

Every day people are working to make Canada better.
