JACK, Gilbert Osbourne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father. Gilbert Osborne Jack suddenly passed away on May 12, 2022 at home. Dad (Gilbert) spent many years as a truck driver followed by over 25 years working at Tommy's Bingo in North End Halifax. Dad spent his life helping others and doing anything he could to make people happy. He was a member of the White Ensign Legion for over 35 years as well an avid bingo and dart player. He recently became a life-time member at the White's Lake Legion. He was a proud volunteer of the Poppy Fund for the last ten years and he also volunteered as a food delivery driver with the metro food bank. He was an amazing father, papa, and great-grandfather. Gilbert is survived by his children, Kathy Armsworthy (Kenny), Allen Jack, Wendy Hogan (Allan), Darlene Jack, Robert Jack (Denise), all of Halifax; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; companion of 35 years, Carol Conrad, and former spouse, Ruby Sampson; brothers, John and Vincent (Evelyn) of Sonora, and sisters, Phyllis (Harold) of Antigonish and Pearl (Ray) of Musquodoboit, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by mother, Margarette Fernandez-jack; father, Andrew Jack; brothers, Fred, Louis, Jim, and sisters, Esther, Rose and Ruby. Gilbert was loved by many and well-known in the North End of Halifax. In keeping with Gilbert's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 76 Armenia Dr., in the Social Room on the first floor on Thursday, May 19th from 3-5 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.
