SANFORD, Joyce

Age 87. It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Joyce on January 22, 2022 at her home in Timberlea. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Freda (Gates) Murphy. She was a faithful Baptist and a parishioner of Birch Cove Baptist Church She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, George, whom she married in June of 1952; daughter, Carla (Todd Kidson); son, Craig (Linda) Sanford; granddaughter, Kara. Joyce was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Aylward; grandson, Randy Kidson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Due to COVID19 restrictions, a private service will be held. Donations in memory may be made to Birch Cove Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
