FINLEY, Edward Alonzo

Age 82, of Halifax, formerly of Cole Harbour, passed away January 21, 2022 in Mapelstone Enhanced Care. Born in Amherst Head, he was a son of the late Tremain and Mildred (Sellars) Finley. Edward was a heavy-duty mechanic for the CNR for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Agnes “Marie” Finley, Dartmouth; daughters, Cathy (Dean Mclean) Finley, Halifax; Janet Finley, Dartmouth; brothers, Russell Finley, Amherst Head; Austin (Jeannine) Finley, Sudbury, Ont; nieces, Charmaine Coady, Sherry Finley, Amber Finley, Ashley Finley; nephew, Greg Jr. Campbell. He was predeceased by his niece, Chrystal Finley. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Maplestone Enhanced Care for their compassionate care of Edward. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
