MASKING EXPERIMENT

Much has been said about the wearing of masks to help slow the spread of this virus. Those for and against can find numerous sources from real doctors and scientists to support their personal beliefs on the matter, which might be confusing to some.

I support the wearing of masks by adults and do so because I have several immediate family members who are immunocompromised, plus I’m an old fart with several comorbidities myself.

I agree that masks alone will not prevent one from contracting this virus, but here’s a little test that may convince someone that masks will help in stopping some, if not all, of the airborne droplets, especially in indoor settings. Place a mask over someone’s face and use a spray bottle to spray the mask and this person’s whole facial area.

Now observe which area is saturated and which area is mostly dry or just damp in some areas.

End of test.
