TAYLOR, Robert Gordon "Bob"

Age 87, Valley, passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side, on Tuesday afternoon, September 21, 2021, in Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Melba Taylor-Barrett and Samuel Taylor. Bob was employed with Nova Scotia Power Corporation for 35 years and enjoyed a long retirement of 30 years. He was a 60 year charter member of Salmon River Fire Brigade and he and Betty enjoyed spending 24 winters in Florida. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Lou (Mcnutt); daughter, Beverley (Garth) Mccabe; sons, Wade (Donna), Peter (Nancy); six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sisters, Josephine and Geraldine; brother, John. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, where the celebration of Bob’s life will be held 2 p.m., Friday, September 24th.
