THOMSON, Eleanor Faye

Age 80, died peacefully at home June 9, 2021. She was born January 4, 1941 in Liverpool. She was a daughter of the late Velmar and Reta Roberts. Eleanor joined the Airforce in 1959, she met her late husband Eugene “Buzz” Bezanson and travelled around Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario. She spent four years in Germany. She settled down in Annapolis Valley where she owned and operated a Convenience store and Gas Bar in South Alton, for seven years. Eleanor married the second time and moved to Port Williams, where she attended Port Williams Baptist Church and joined The Women’s Institute, The Health Auxiliary, and was the Treasurer for the Loyal Workers. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Arnold, Doug, and Clyde; sister, Kathleen; son, Troy Scott Bezanson; and daughter, Kathi Rae Graves. She is survived by her children, Chris (Heather) Bezanson, Edmonton Alta.; and Darren (Lori) Bezanson, Falmouth; grandchildren, Tanisha (Trevor) Boyd, Jared (Alicia) Bezanson, Jordan Bezanson, and Nathaniel Hughes; and great-grandchild, Rosie. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private graveside service will be held in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings Co. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or Port Williams Baptist Church.
