HARRIS, Clarke Edward

Of Centreville, passed away on May 27, 2023, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville on November 7, 1934 to the late Howard and Alice (Brechin) Harris. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Manson) Harris; children, Bruce (Ann) and Wendy (Clay) Turner; grandsons, Shawn, Cory and Edward; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Edward; brother, Charles; sisters, Mildred Charest, Ethel Stevens, Eileen Vaughan and Jean Rogers; and grandson, Joshua. Clarke graduated with a diesel mechanics course and worked in the power plant in Goose Bay, and when he returned, he worked as a Railway Conductor with Dominion Atlantic Railway until he retired. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the Staff of Medical B of Valley Regional Hospital for the excellent care and compassion Clarke received. In keeping with Clarke’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Centreville Good Neighbour Club, the Centreville Hall Association or a charity of choice.
