NICKERSON (Williams) (Porter), Shirley Ann

Passed away on May 26, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family and close friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Glen Harlyn Porter; and second husband, Rupert Wesley Nickerson; mother, Hazel Melanson; and father, Joseph Williams. She is survived by her sons, Harlyn (Kandi) Porter and Joseph Porter, of whom there could be no prouder mother. Family was always her number one priority and with the support of her boys, it has come full circle. Also survived by grandchildren, Alex and Zoey Porter; step grandchildren, Starr (Dave) O’loughlin and Holly O’loughlin; great-grandchildren, Juliana, Jesse, Joshua and Noah; brother, John Williams and sister, Beverly Muise; as well as nieces and nephews and extended family. A special thank you to the VON Nursing and homecare, especially, Brittany and Megan. Following Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, 902-667-9906. There will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions can be made in Shirley’s memory to a charity of your choice.
