HIGGINS, David Dennis "Higgi"

Age 64, New Glasgow, born in Truro. With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle and a friend to many on January 22, 2022 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. David was born in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro on April 21, 1957 to the late Arnold Allison Higgins and Grace Elizabeth Matthews Higgins. David was kind and friendly - he loved to joke around with everyone. He loved his family and friends. David will be missed especially by his brother, Steven whom he spent a lot of time with fishing and picking fiddleheads. After many tireless fishing trips, they would end with a campfire and tip a few back. He had a few special friends who will miss him dearly John Wright, Justin Rafuse, Pete, Janet, Muriel, Cathy Spears and Rose. David will be missed by his caring brothers, Steven Higgins “Patches”, Truro; Paul (Faith) Higgins, Musquodoboit Harbour; his loving sister, Nancy Mcleod (John), Calgary; and his youngest sister, Leslie Higgins, Truro; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by beloved sisters, Marina Burgess and Susan Hutt; beloved brother, Brian Arnold Higgins; and his nephew, Trevor Scott Higgins. If so desired, donations in David’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. No service at this time. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
