CAIN, Barbara Mae

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of a wonderful wife and best friend; an extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend. On November 15, 2021, Barbara passed away peacefully with family at her side in Yarmouth Regional Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was a daughter of the late Albert Gordon Hayes and Helen Lilian (Anderson) (of Westmount, Que.). Barbara is survived by husband, David; son, Jeffrey (Karen); daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Park and Tara (Eric) Kohl; granddaughters, Shaelyn, Cassidy and Devon Park, and Elyssa Kohl; grandsons, Liam Cain and Travis Kohl; sister, Susan (Edward) Rivet. Barbara volunteered with various entities throughout her life; she was an avid quilter and enjoyed providing heirloom quilts to her family. She was also a phenomenal cook and loved having family and friends enjoy her creations with her. There will be no visitation or funeral at Barbara's request. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Mountain Cemetery, Yarmouth. The family wishes to acknowledge the help and kindness of Dr. David Webster, the Tri-county Victorian Order of Nurses and Sweeney's Funeral Home in Yarmouth.
