MACLEAN, Sylvia Clara

Age 78 of Blues Mills, Inverness Co. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sylvia Clara Maclean at home on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born in Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Lucy (Bulger) Johnstone. Sylvia is survived by her loving family: her husband of 59 years, Campbell “Camie”; children, Stewart (Charmaine), Winston (Shelley), Cheryl (Darren), Shawn (Amanda); grandchildren, Megan, Cara, Tanner, Matt and Neil; siblings, Raymond (Cindy), Jimmie, sister-inlaw, Connie Johnstone; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Earl. She will also be dearly missed by her four-legged companion, Heidi. Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was best known for her love of family, witty personality, reciting riddles and jokes, her wonderful meals and her love of the Christmas season. No one left her home with an empty stomach or without the request to call her when you arrived home safely. No visitation as per family request. Cremation has taken place. Burial to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to L’arche Cape Breton. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh.
