A Pictou Landing man charged with murder in the death of Prabhjot Singh Katri in September is scheduled to have a bail hearing Tuesday in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Truro.

Cameron Prosper, 20, is charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing of Singh, 23, early Sept. 5 outside an apartment building at 494 Robie St. in Truro

Prosper was arraigned via video in Truro provincial court Monday.

Dylan Macdonald, 21, of Valley, Colchester County, is also to appear for a bail hearing Tuesday. He is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder by allegedly helping Prosper escape the scene.

Macdonald is also charged

with failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.

Police have also obtained an arrest warrant for a third

man, Marcus Denny, who has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder by helping Prosper escape and also for providing false information about the case to police.

Prior to being arrested on the murder charge, Prosper appeared in Shubenacadie provincial court Friday for a scheduled bail hearing on charges of assaulting a police officer, three counts of uttering threats and two of breaching release conditions. Those charges stem from an incident in the Shubenacadie area Sept. 9.

At the conclusion of Friday's

hearing, Prosper was transported by deputy sheriffs to Truro, where he was arrested by Truro police on the murder charge.

Prosper also was charged, along with two other men in June, in relation to a stabbing incident in Pictou Landing and is scheduled for trial Sept. 15 and 16 of next year in Pictou provincial court on charges of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon.
