Bucks get first win against Nets

Jrue Holiday hit a goahead driving layup with 11.4 seconds remaining and the Milwaukee Bucks tightened the defensive screws on the visiting Brooklyn Nets for an 86-83 victory in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series on Thursday night.

In a classic two-on-two showdown until Holiday's heroics, Bucks standouts Khris Middleton (35 points) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (33) outdueled Nets counterparts Kevin Durant (30) and Kyrie Irving (22), helping Milwaukee win for the first time in the best-ofseven series.

Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, also in Milwaukee.

Donovan Mitchell followed up his Game 1 masterpiece with a 37-point performance Thursday night in Salt Lake City to lead the Utah Jazz to a 117-111 victory and a 2-0 lead over the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals. (Reuters)
