LAPIERRE, Patricia Evangeline

Age 93. It is with deepest sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Pat on May 4, 2021 in Ocean View Continuing Care. Pat was born in 1927 to the late Frederick and Alice Myatt and grew up in the Acadian community of West Chezzetcook. She spent her entire life living there except for two years where she lived and worked in Montreal. Upon returning home she worked in Halifax and was reunited with her childhood friend and love, Douglas. They were married and together for 69 years. Mom's strong faith in her church provided her with a wonderful community of people. Mom and Dad attended church weekly, to be found in the same pew, same seat and contributed willingly to every hosted event. You would find Mom baking and preparing food for the church picnic and always with her sister and best friend, Marg, attending to things in the Novelty booth on the picnic grounds. Mom loved her family and got great pleasure looking after her three granddaughters and played a big part in their childhood and also in recent years. They brought much joy and happiness to her life and in the latter years receiving visits from her six greatgrandchildren would brighten her day and make her smile. Pat is survived by her only child, June and husband, Garth Mcisaac; granddaughters, Chantelle (Mark Kilfoil), Linsay (Ozgur Cetin), Janene (Neil Kenny); great-grandchildren, Aaron, Alice and Emily Kilfoil, Louis and Eamon Kenny and Leyla Cetin; brothers, Joseph and Jerome (Joan) Myatt. Predeceased by sisters, Margaret and Jenny; brothers, Art, Bert, Reg and Bill; grandson, Evan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. Graveside service will take place at a later date when family and friends are able to gather.
