It is with heavy hearts that the family of John ‘Jack’ Edward Taylor age 76 of Amherst announce his passing on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late Percy and Spray Taylor. Jack started working in Toronto area driving truck for many companies. After moving to Amherst, he worked for Enheat for several years then Casey Concrete for around 32 years and drove cab for many years. He was an avid hockey fan and back in the day drove Rambler players to their games. He enjoyed reading westerns and had a passion for Native American artwork. He loved going for drives everywhere and anywhere. Always remembered as “Papa Jack”. Jack will be missed and remembered by his children, Terry Lynn (Jim Maxwell) Arsenault, Harvey John (David McCormick), Elizabeth (Glen) Block, Walter (Tammy) and Shawn; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline, and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 2 -4 p.m. held in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, 902-667-9906. Donations may be made in John’s memory to the charity of your choice.
