SHAID OPEN HOUSE THE CAT'S MEOW

It was all paws on deck at the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter on Nov. 19 as shelter board members, staff and volunteers hosted an open house for the public to tour the Whynotts Settlement facility and meet the more than 60 kittens and cats available for adoption then or in the near future. Jennifer Leslie (with Chili), left, Wren Seutter (with Bingo) and Keira Haddock (with Aunt Trixie) helped guide hundreds of visitors through the shelter during the four-hour open house. Cookies, cupcakes and SHAID calendars were available for sale and a complimentary barbecue was provided thanks to donations from South Shore businesses and individuals.
