Western Capitals drop in CJHL rankings to 14

The Summerside Western Capitals were listed at the No. 14 position in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings.

The team, which was at

No. 9 in the previous ranking, is the only team from the Maritime Junior Hockey League in the list with Truro and Campbellton receiving honourable mentions. At the time of the ranking, Summerside was in first place in the Eastlink North division with a record of 13-4-0-0.

No. 1 in the national ranking belonged to the Battlefords North Stars (SJHL). In the listings, for the period ending Nov. 20, the frontrunner in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, maintains its unbeaten record in regulation time so far this season while boasting a mark of 20-0-2-1.

Remaining at No. 2 nationally in the 118-team CJHL is the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

Winners of eight in succession, the Terrebonne Cobras (LHJAAQ) were tabbed No. 3 last week.
