Bluebell Subdivision expansion gets green light
SUMMERSIDE – The second time’s the charm for the developer looking to expand Summerside’s Bluebell Subdivision. City council has approved a subdivision plan presented by Robins Equity Group Ltd., which is developing 11 singlefamily home lots at the end of Colin Avenue. Earlier this year, the company asked council to rezone the land to a higher density to allow it to build duplexes. Council denied that request following an outcry from homeowners in the neighbourhood, who were concerned about the extra traffic load on the only street in and out of the subdivision. The developer recently came back with a scaled-back plan to build only single-family homes on the lots and the responses from both council and neighbours have been more favourable.
