GALLANT, Agnes

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 of Agnes Gallant of Summerside and formerly of St. Nicholas, aged 95 years. Agnes was born in Urbainville, P.E.I to the late Cyrus and Albina (Arsenault) Gallant. Beloved wife of the late Gussie Gallant and loving mother of Elmer “Chris” (Juliana Gardine), Judy (Ken) Blacquiere, Gloria (Dennis) Gallant, Michael (Sylvia) and Christine (Douglas) Simmons. Also lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Louise Kolpean, sistersin-law Della and Rose Gallant and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Mannie Gallant, grandson Darryl Blacquiere, brothers and sisters Fidele, Evelyn (Adriane), Zella (Bill), Amand (MaryAnn), Bertha (Herman), Aline (Claire), Edward (Angie), Joe, John (Terry) and Andrew. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid -19 restrictions there will be a private funeral service. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche at a later date. Memorial donation in Agnes’s memory can be made directly to P.E.I. Diabetes Association.
