New Waterford It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear aunt,

Eileen Harriet Roach, at the age of 80 on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Eileen was born on March 12, 1942, in New Waterford. She was the daughter of the late Leger and Marceline (Poirier) Roach. Eileen was an employee of Woolworths in New Waterford for many years and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Eileen spent her free time enjoying reading and volunteering with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the New Waterford Food Bank. Eileen was a devoted member of St Leonard’s Parish, New Waterford. She was predeceased by her parents, Leger and Marceline Roach; sister, Margaret and brothers, Eu

gene, Denis, and Alcide; nieces, Jerry and Denise. Eileen is survived by her sister-in-law, Catherine; nieces,

Janet (John), Michelle (Stephen), Regina and Cathy. She is also survived by nephews, Joseph (Paula), Blair (Gail), Glen (Charlene), Sheldon (Michelle), William (Tina), Randy (Wendy), Rus

sell (Laurie) and her many grandnieces and nephews. Eileen is also survived by her dear friend, Phyllis Dupe. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A Funeral Mass of celebration will be held on Thursday, October 6,

at 10 a.m. in St Leonard’s Church,Mount Carmel Avenue, New Waterford with Father Jim Oliver officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Army, Navy, Airforce, Unit 217, New Waterford. Donations in her memory may be made to New Waterford food bank or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
