Cape Breton players named U16 all-stars

SYDNEY — Three Cape Breton players were named to Nova Scotia Under-16 ‘AAA’ Hockey League allstar teams for the 2021-22 season.

Defenceman Luke MacEachern of the Cabot Highlanders was named to the first all-star team. He had six goals and 21 points in 32 games with the Port Hawkesbury-based club.

Meanwhile, forward Blake Snow of the Cape Breton Jets was named to the second all-star team. He had 25 goals and 37 points in 30 games with the Membertou-based team.

Goaltender Rhyah Stewart of the Highlanders joined Snow on the second all-star team. She had a 6-9-0-0 record with a 3.80 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage.

Tyler Totten (Fundy), Cole Kerr (Saint John), Matthew Simms (Saint John), Reed Pettipas (Saint John) and Russ DeCoste (Bedford) were also named to the first all-star team.

Xavier Rivard (St. Margarets Bay), Dylan Ross (Dartmouth), Kiev Brownlie (St. Margarets Bay), and Jake Archibauld (Fundy) picked up second all-star team honours.
