WORK UNDERWAY

Work crews were active Monday morning as part of the $9-million multi-phase redevelopment project in downtown Sydney. Some of the initial work began on the north end of Charlotte Street as heavy equipment began to redesign the street. Walkways are shielded from work by metal barriers and shops remain open. The downtown Sydney bus hub will be relocated from Dorchester Street to the intersection of Pitt and George streets. Work in the downtown area will continue into the fall.
