Trial dates assigned

SYDNEY — Provincial court trial dates are now set for a Sydney man facing multiple offences.

Vincent Joseph Mombourquette, 35, of Lingan Road is to stand trial Feb. 25 on 12 counts of breaching court orders, two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of possession of a weapon while prohibited and single counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession, possession of money knowing it was obtained by crime, possession of a weapon with no licence (a semi-automatic shotgun), possession of a weapon knowing he had no licence, careless storage of a weapon, possession of an assault weapon with no licence, possession of an assault rifle while prohibited possession of an assault rifle knowing he had no licence.

He is also scheduled to stand trial Aug. 24 on four counts of breaching court orders and single counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of money knowing it was obtained by crime and driving while disqualified.

Mombourquette continues to be on remand.
