DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION

JEREMY FRASER • CAPE BRETON POST

The New Waterford Rotary Club purchased 27 hanging flower baskets that lined Plummer Avenue during the summer and fall, as part of the club’s beautification program. The flowers were purchased from Gerard Burke, who also maintained the flowers. The beautification program is one of several things the club does for the community each year. Members of the club are shown with a flower basket, from left, Duncan Roach and Roger Guyaux.
