BOUTILIER, William 'Bill' Sydney Mines

The family of William Boutilier, age 79, regret to announce his passing in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Northside General Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. Born to the late William and Margery Boutilier on March 21, 1942, William (commonly known as Bill) served in the Black Watch as a young man, followed by 40 years working at Clover Produce and 10 years as the Commissionaire at Harbour View Hospital. His family was his greatest joy in life, along with his faith, baseball (Blue Jays), and the beloved friends he made at Trinity Anglican Church in Sydney Mines. Bill was known for his contagious laugh and his kind, giving spirit. Bill is survived by his wife, Marilou (MacDonald); son, Aaron, Sydney Mines; son, Jason, Ontario; daughter, Rebecca, Halifax; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jillian, and Logan; great-grandson, Carson; brothers, David and Myers Boutilier, and several nieces and nephews. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Northside General for their care of Bill in his final days. A celebration of life will take place at on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Jackie Warren officiating. The burial will take place at Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery on Tobin Road. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Trinity Anglican Church or to the charity of your choosing.
