SEYMOUR, Kenneth A.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth A. Seymour. Kenny passed away peacefully at Buchanan Memorial Hospital in Neils Harbour on Wednesday, June 2nd with his wife and daughter by his side. Kenny was born in Neils Harbour on February 9, 1938 to the late George and Emily (Fricker) Seymour. In his early days Kenny worked with the Canadian Armed Forces, spending time overseas. He also worked for the CBVR School Board as a custodian until his health forced him to retire. Following his retirement he spent his spare time restoring St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery. Kenny was also a devoted Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Kenny is survived by Trudy, his wife of 58 years; daughter, Kathy Tobin; grandson, Andrew; granddaughter, Lisa and great-grandchildren, Owen, Cohen and Sofia; as well as one brother, Herbert; brother-in-law, Ronald Ingram and his in-laws, the Stockley and Dickson families whom he thought the world of. Besides his parents, Kenny was predeceased by his daughter Angela as well as 6 brothers, 2 sisters and I sibling in infancy. Cremation has taken place. His cremated remains will be laid to rest in St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
